How it works
When you sign up, you confirm your email address. teim stores your password only as a bcrypt hash, never in plain text.
The connection runs only over HTTPS/TLS with HSTS. Repeated failed login attempts are rate-limited.
Everyone sees only their own company’s data, within the limits of their role – checked server-side. The audit log records important changes.
Legal basics
The revised Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) has applied since 1 September 2023. Employees’ time data is personal data: anyone processing it must follow the principles and ensure appropriate data security.
Source: FADP Art. 6, 8, 9 (fedlex.admin.ch). Not legal advice.
Process data lawfully, in good faith and proportionately, for a recognisable purpose and no longer than necessary. The data must be accurate.
Technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk. At teim: hosting in Switzerland, TLS, bcrypt, role permissions and an audit log.
Anyone who has data processed by a third party must make sure that party guarantees data security. The processor may only process the data as the controller itself would be allowed to.

No. Every database query is checked server-side against your company. Automated tests verify this tenant separation.
Not for regular accounts at the moment. You log in with a password, which teim stores only as a bcrypt hash. Repeated failed attempts are rate-limited, and you confirm your email address when signing up.
That depends on the role: employee, manager, HR, admin or owner. teim checks permissions on the server, not just in the interface. The audit log records important changes.
For receipt recognition, the AI assistant, meeting transcription and the knowledge radar, teim uses GDPR-compliant AI. The AI assistant only has the permissions of the user’s role and saves suggestions only after confirmation.
